  • about the process.

    Everything in our shop is designed by Cup of Tea Creative. The process always starts with an idea - inspired by music, books, places and cultural memories; or by the photos, songs and stories our customers share with us. Each piece is designed and composed digitally using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, combining imagery, typography, music and artistic elements to create something that feels both familiar and completely original. Our personalized designs are created individually for each customer, while our inspired collections reinterpret the things people love through our own creative perspective. Once a design is complete, production takes place in our own studio. Each print is produced in-house using pigment-based inks on premium textured art paper with beautiful deckle edges. Prints can also be float mounted and framed by hand, giving the finished artwork a distinctive, handcrafted presentation. As artists and craftspeople, we take great pride in every step of the process. Our goal is to create artwork that connects with people - pieces that celebrate memories, interests and stories that become meaningful additions to their homes. Every purchase supports an independent artist and a small creative business, so we hope the care that goes into each piece is evident from the moment it arrives.

    "Cup of Tea Creative was started as an outlet away from my day job as an art director. Even after 25+ years in the graphic design industry, I am still inspired every day to be creative. The vision behind Cup of Tea Creative is to turn the things people love into original artwork they can make a part of their home and a part of their lives.

    Design is about visual storytelling. I’ve always been fascinated by the stories hidden within everyday things. A song can bring back a memory, a favorite book can transport you to another world and a single image can instantly reconnect you with a moment in time. My work explores those connections by transforming familiar themes into original visual compositions.

    Every piece begins with curiosity, evolves through experimentation and finishes with a design that tells its own story. I enjoy taking elements people recognize and reimagining them in unexpected ways, creating artwork that invites a second look and tells a story without saying a word.”
